I was recently in a poker home game that has been going on for a while. We are all good friends, but recently, a dispute happened where one person was supposed to win the hand, but there hand was ruled dead (my hand). Heres the full details:
I was 3th to act with 8 players. I'm on a very short stack of about 4 BB left at the final table out of 20 people. I have Pocket Queens and shoved my last $2,400 in tournament chips into the pot. It goes fold and all-in over the top of me. It folds around and it's just me and him. He turns over A Q off suit, and I turn over my Q Q. I am in a good position to win the hand. The flop comes A A 10. I am devastated and pick up my cards again and say: 'I'm drawing dead'. I never flipped over my cards, but as I was tossing them into the center of the table, one of the cards flips over, leaving one Queen exposed.
