All my iphone contacts got erased...!?

What happened was that I had sent my iphone up to Apple for repair. During the couple of days that the phone was getting repaired, itunes said that there was a new version of itunes ready to be downloaded. So i decided to download it because I like to have the latest updates. Then when I got my returned iphone back, I plugged it into itunes and it said that it couldn't retrieve any of my old things because I had an older version of itunes the last time I had synced my phone. So I had to sync it like a new phone. I'm very upset because I had all the people that I knew in there. Is there anything I can do?? Help Please..

No not really, but who cares just wait tell they call you. I mean if there really your friend they would contact you.
