Allergies? Are anybodys like this?

Last year I all of the sudden got allergies...really bad!! I got a HUGE rash all over my face, neck, and arms, and it lasted for 6 months. Now I have it this year, but it is not nearly as bad. I am going to take the carpet out of my room, and replace it with laminate flooring. Do any of you allergy sufferers out there have this problem, and if so, could you give me some helpful tips on how to rid my room of some of the allergy causing things?

I got allergies also very suddenly when I was about 35 and now I am 40. Also got some skin problems as well as the usual itching, sneezing. It will get better, mine got better over the 5 years. You have to go see a doctor to determine what it is that is making you sick. It does not have to be your carpet/dust. It could be number of problems even food. At worse I was writing everything I ate and did. Then go back to see any hints. I got also acupuncture and started eating better, less dairy products as they could trigger some allergies. So good luck and get better.

Do you lay on the carpet?  Why would you think the carpet is causing this?  I think pulling up the carpet and putting in laminate flooring is a waste of money, unless you wanted the floor anyway.  you need to go to the doctor and find out what you are allergic to.

wow thats horrible.  Well when i was a baby i had carpeting in my room and my mom had to take it out cause i was having an allergic reaction i was like snoring.  Weird i know.  You should put a de-humidifier in your room to rid of all the dustbunnies and like any mold or anything that will cause your allergies?  You should go to an allergy doctor they give tests to see specifically what you are allergic too.  Feel better
