Question:

Allergies or Lung Infection?

I live in an area where ragweed has been pollinating. Last week I noticed that I was short of breath, with very little classic symptoms of allergies. I went to the doctor the other day and he just gave me some allergy medicine, but never really addressed the problem. Other than shortness of breath, I've been having a little bit of chest discomfort, but it does not last long. Over the past couple days my breathing has become somewhat better. Does anybody know what the cause of this might be?

  2. It probably is ragweed allergy.  I get different symptoms from that than I do the rest of the year.  If it's not getting better go back to your doctor or an allergist.

  3. Do you know if you have asthma?  A common symptom of asthma is having chest discomfort (and being short of breath).
