Question:

Alright, practice methods?

Okay! My friend and I have decided to take tennis in the upcoming school year, since the high school has that sport. (Yes, we're gonna be freshmen! x3) Anyways, we're just about beginners flat. We just decided to buy equipment a few months ago and we've been trying to practice a lot since. My mom can only take us to the courts once every couple of weeks, though.

Anyways, are there any good training methods besides the courts? I can't really use a wall since the road on the side of my house is pretty rocky..There's a building across the street that I can use when the business is closed, but there are big metal bars and vines on the wall. Any help here?

Also, what are some things I can do to build up stamina, speed and such? (Yeah, I'm not the smartest person around..)

Thank you so much in advance~~

  1. about the stamina.

you should run around your block until you sweat a lot.

and the speed, you should put weights on your legs on your legs or

run with a backpack full of heavy items.

how about your houses walls or if you have a big patio, you should

    practice hitting on the wall.

    hope my answer helps

    good luck on high school!!!

  2. okay well you can't just go out there with a racket and attempt to play so i'll give you some tips.

-always turn your body when you swing and don't just stick your racket out in front of you

-the only to to stick your racket straight up in the air and hit it is if you're in the front and spiking it down

-you need to learn all the rules, scoring, and terms because it's complicated at first

-don't hit rainbow shots that shoot way into the air, you need to hit hard and make them just slide over the net

-always stay on the balls of your feet and if you have to run up for a shot then get back fast because it's easier to get forward fast than backward

-always get your racket back in time and follow through so that ball doesn't go off the court

-for serves you must stay behind the line on the outside of the court and serve to the rectangular box on the other side of the net on the opposite side you are on so work on serves a lot

well that's about all i can think of right now so i hope i helped =)
