Alternatives to Lybrel?

I was just prescribed Lybrel by my doctor because Seasonique was making me, for lack of a better word "psycho" during my cycles. The problem is I can not afford Lybrel but would like a BC that I do not have my cycle, or can skip the sugar pills and do the same thing. Any suggestions? Was thinking of Alesse, but looking for more alternatives to ask my doctor. Thank you

I am on Desogen and skip my sugar pills under DR supervision. You definitely have to be on a monophasic pill to achieve it. However Lybrel only has 20mg of estrogen where seasonique and many monophasic pills contain 30
