  1. what i do when i train is i spend around 4 hours in the water do normal practices both hard an productive. then i spend an hour on weight tranning and running i go a 58. 3 in my 100 and i go a 25.2 in my 50

  2. I am not a professional coach but I think that the two hours of dryland everyday is overtraining. try only doing it like 2 or 3 times a week but continue doing your 2 a day club swim practices.

Good luck dropping time in you 50M free and 100M free

  3. that depends, I worked out like that in college

  4. If you enjoy it and don't get burned out the extra training won't hurt as long as you keep the same poise in practice.  It does seem like a LOT of training especially w/ the dryland in between.  The taper will feel good though =)

  5. My first reaction is: Yes -- that will be overtraining. But more importantly, it appears to be the wrong *type* of training.

Seven hours of almost exclusively aerobic training might be reasonable if you were training for endurance events (like an Ironman triathlon), but for 50/100 free (almost purely anaerobic events) it makes no sense.

Is this the schedule for every day? How many rest days will you have per week?

For improved sprinting, you need to concentrate on what will likely improve anaerobic performance. You need to concentrate on technique, quality swim sets, and strength training.

That's not to say that you won't improve following this plan, but I have a hunch that you can meet those goals with fewer hours training and a little focus.
