Question:

Am I working hard enough?

The other day I was punching my heavy bag in the basement. I boxed for 30 minutes on and off pretty hard. Then, I did 100 punches with only my left arm, 100 with only my right. I did this three times. The next day, my arms weren't even sore from the 600 left and right punches. I figured they would kill me because I have just started boxing again. Am I not punching well or hard enough?

  1. not bad for a comeback to boxing! thats a good start but your gonna need to increase your intensity and repitition! dont train too hard because your body will break down! imagine running a car 100mph all the time! it will break down quickly! you need 2-3 days of light workout a week!


  2. You can never work hard enough, if you ever ask anyone if it is enough, the answer will be "no, work faster or harder".  Do what you feel is enough, your body will tell you if you need more or less work, listen to it.
