  1. You are not a vegetarian if you eat fish. Simple as that.

  2. Who cares?  Your health is the important thing, not a label, and if you've given up meat for the most part, you're doing better than most folks.  As to whether or not a little fish is okay now and then, it's your own decision.

  3. If you have salmon and tuna then you aren't a vegetarian.  They are still killed for food.  If you give up tuna and salmon then you will be a vegan.

  4. you sure do think much about animals . but even if they donot have legs they gft pain but actually i have no right to say this cause i myself is a  non vegetarian. but i am still 12 years old.

i donot like milk but my mother insists me to drinkby the way my name is anaida.my fathers name is sanjay kumar a

  5. ..." i mean they dont have legs or anything ".

sorry, but you will have to explain that statement, i have no clue why the absense, or not, of legs makes something food, or not.

How would you get on with a war veteran who stood on a landmine, would you eat them ?

If you limit your meat intake to fish then you are a pescitarian.

exfst is sometimes right but seems to have lost the plot with this one. Is a serial killer considered to be exhibiting the model of community behaviour on the days when they don't kill ? Of course not. you are defined by your overall behaviour, not your behaviour at any one instance. Everyone is not a veggie when they are not eating meat, thats just plain daft and i think you know it really.

  6. a big yes!!!!!!!!! ddddduuuuhhhhhh!!!!!!! 2 da max!!!!

  7. No, vegetarians don't eat any fish or meat.

  8. How do you know if salmon or tuna don't suffer? I would think that just seeing one freak out when it's caught would be enough for someone who is a vegetarian to stop eating them.

"they have no legs or anything" They do have something, you don't know much about fish if you say that. (head, eyes, mouth, sense of smell, nerves and brains that sense pain, etc)

Do very extensive research on what kind of fish are okay to eat, some are not healthy and most are not treated right.

A vegetarian is not a vegan, so they'll usually have dairy products, fish and/or chicken, depending on the person. So, you kinda are (there are different kinds of vegetarians - check it out here: http://vegetarian.about.com/od/vegetaria... ). However, you shouldn't really yourself one. A vegetarian would not say what you said about fish or any other animal. I would recommend either going vegan, or at least find KOSHER FOOD because those are known to be better to animals.

  9. There are people in this world who consider themselves vegetarians but eat fish and poultry.  And there are people who call themselves vegetarians who eat things like gelatin.  I have had friends like that.  One was a "vegetarian" for health reasons, one was a "vegetarian" for political reasons, while I am a vegetarian for animal rights reasons.

You will quickly find the consensus here is that true vegetarians do not eat meat, gelatin etc. at all.

  10. "dont suffer very much in the killing process"

    -_-

they still suffer. It is still murder.

  11. Sure... What being a vegetarian is about is ... reducing the mutiple causes of cruelty and death to animals... and i believe you said you OCCASIONALLY eat salmon and tuna? right? well you're not eating chicken, beef etc. right? so you're reducing death for animals right so yeah you're a veg. i mean you can be flexible... you can make your own rules on being a vegetarian.... but other than that... yes i believe you are OFFICIALLY a vegetarian =P

  12. Not really.  You would be called a  pescatarian because you eat fish.

  13. I have 2 pet fish, I know what i think when i see them, i love my fish to be honest.

When YOU see fish.. what do you think they are? ... floating carrots?

    They're animals.

Just because they live in the sea, does NOT make them anymore different to any other animal.

    You are not a vegetarian.

  14. vegetarian dont eat any kind of dead animal. you eat fish so you are not vegetarian.

  15. let me put it his way.. everybody is a vegtarian until they eat meat.. then they are not.. but in between when they do and  don't, they are..

the reason I say this is there are no clear cut "time frame" as to when a person becomes a vegetarian. One day? Two days? A week? A month? A year? So by logic, you are a vegetarian until you eat meat, whether that's tomorrow, next week, a year from  now or your next meal...

  16. Does a celibate occasionally indulge in carnal pleasure?

  17. No! you're not a vegetarian.

  18. The milk and dairy have nothing to do with vegetarianism, that would be vegan.

If you eat meat broth in soups or anything, you're not vegetarian.

And by the way, fish suffer a lot in the killing process.

  19. No. My sis is like you tho and i call her a vegeaquarian-i love that word.

  20. do u live on earth ????

u say salmon, tuna dont have legs so they have no pain????whenever u take a life there is pain...remember that....being a veggie is good....being non-vegg is not bad....its normal if u dont have mils...dairy...may be u are allergic?

  21. You are not, just because they don't have legs dosen't mean they didn't have a life. I hate how people don't consider seafood a meat that's a really ignorant thing.

  22. A vegetarian doesn't eat any animal ever. Salmon and tuna are animals despite what appendages they may or may not have.

  23. Just because they don't have legs doesn't mean they don't feel pain or don't suffer.

  24. No, you're not a vegetarian.  Vegetarians don't eat any meat, including fish.

Fish do feel pain, they're suffocated and deprived of a natural life.  Since eating meat, or other animal products, is unnecessary for a healthy life, it still causes unnecessary suffering and death, regardless of whether they have legs.

  25. youd be a considered an omnivore as you still eat meat,

    even if its occasionally.

fish is an animal, therefore you eat meat,

Vegans not only go without meat and dairy products.

but anything that has animals derived products,

eg. Jelly lollies, as they have gelitan in it which is taken from the pig.

    hope that helped :)

  26. No, vegetarians do not eat meat, and tuna and salmon are animals, so you're still eating meat. Go to http://www.fishinghurts.com and learn about the miserable lives the fish that you eat have.

Melsy, the milk substitute you described is not suitable for vegans. Honey is considered an animal product.

  27. I think u r because alot of ppl blieve that u can b a vegetarian and eat fish

  28. You cetainly aren't a vegetarian.  Pescatarian is what you are.  Fish do suffer in the killing process as well.  First of all, they are being starved of oxygen when they are taken out of the water (they don't breath in normal air like us), therefore they are being suffocated (kind of like if you were to drown a human).  Also, when piles of fish are caught in the fishing nets, the sheer weight and pressure of piles of fish on top of each other, causes some fish to be squashed.  Just like every other animal, fish feel pain too.

  29. Well being a Vegan means no Dairy or Meat.

Eating salmon and tuna means you are almost a vegetarian.

I am a Vegan. I do not eat meat. I do not use Dairy Products either. I have Soy Bean Milk. Soy Bean Milk is made out of Soy Beans, Honey, and you can put pepitas or sunflower seeds in as well. It is made with a special machine. My mum has one.

  30. no. i have no respect for vegetarians that "occasionally eat fish"

thatd be like calling a carnivore a vegetarian whenever its not eating

  31. "dont suffer very much in the killing process" that is possible the stupid sentence that comes up all the time. you are dying and you are not suffering? i ask you how, if an animal has a nervous system you feel pain, and if you are being killed, i would say you are feeling quite a deal of at that time.

but any way, no you are not a vegetarian, you eat the flesh of an animal ( even if it is only fish).
