Am i doing this algebra right?

Find each value is f(x) = 3x-5

im not sure if im doing this right..

my math teacher teachers like shes talking to 9 year olds..

f(-3)=3(-3)-5=-9-5=-14

That's good because then she is putiing it simply.  

f(-3) = 3(-3) - 5

      = -9 - 5

      = -14

you just have to plug in the value given into the function

So =>   f(-3) = 3(-3) - 5

                  = -9 - 5

                  = -14
