  1. f(x)=3(x)-5

    f(-3)=3(-3)-5=-9-5=-14

  2. That's good because then she is putiing it simply.

    f(-3) = 3(-3) - 5

          = -9 - 5

          = -14

  3. you just have to plug in the value given into the function

    So =>   f(-3) = 3(-3) - 5

                      = -9 - 5

                      = -14

  4. yes it right!

  5. f(x) = 3x - 5

    if f(3),

    f(3) = 3(-3) - 5

    f(3) = -9 - 5

    f(3) = -14

  6. f(-3) = 3(-3) -5    plug in -3 for x

    f(-3) = -9 -5        multiply out

    f(-3) = -14          subtract 5 from -9
