American Idol Auditions--LOOK HERE!?

Okay so I am an 18 year old girl trying out for American Idol. I have sang my whole life, at church, for my local college basketball games, in lead roles for a theater company, and many other places. I already have my song picked out (Anyway by Martina McBride) however, I am having a little trouble trying to pick out an outfit to wear. I typically just wear jeans and a t-shirt but I can't dress down that much for an audition. I have brown hair, I am 5'9", hazel eyes, slim but muscular, and am currently tan from all the summer sun. I need something that exentuates my face but also requires all attention to be on me (without being one of those weird people that shows up on TV that we all know and laugh about)....

Let me know some of your ideas!! (serious answers pleaseeee)

wish me luck!!

  1. Hey,

I completely agree with Dakota .

Make sure you are comfortable with what you wear!

Don't wear something that makes you look older.

Just be yourself, have your own style and you'll be perfectly fine!

Good luck, I'm sure you'll be fine!

  2. Maybe just enhance your look a little...

For example: wear a t-shirt with a vest or a belt bellow your bust; wear skinny jeans with flats and if you want to play that up even a little more wear colored jeans.

What I would wear: Blue (like the physical color not like jean color) skinny jeans; a white or black t-shirt with a menswear style vest.

Don't wear anything cheesy or too overdone because you don't want your outfit to be distracting from your singing voice. If someone had the most amazing voice in the world but walked in wearing the most ridiculous thing and nobody would care about their voice cause they would be too focused on they're outfit.

Just be yourself, it's not a fashion contest!

    Good luck!!!
