Ok, can you still bridge a sub to an amp if one channel is blown? What will the effect be? The reason i ask this is because when i hook my sub to my amp on one channel i get more power then if i was to bridge it. Also if i try to hook up the sub to the other channel the sub dont work. Are you supposed to get more power if you bridge a sub??

  1. Start by checking the fuses on the amp, some amps have one fuse for each channel. If one channel is not working you may have bad RCA cables. First try switching the left rca with the right and see if the problem switches to the other channel, if it changes sides you have bad RCA cables and the amp is still good. If you switch the cables and the problem stays on the same channel then one channel is bad and mono is not going to work as it should. If your amp has a bad channel you are best off using just one channel.
