  1. It depends on the pin connection and the reciever.  I agree banana plugs are best because you get at minimum eight contact points for the audio to transfer where with pins and spade plugs you can get about 2 contact points for the audio to travel.

  2. Angled pins are more versatile. Believe it or not some equipment isn't equipped for bananas. This nonsense about more contact points is just that...nonsense. We are talking about ac here and there isn't alot of current going to your speakers. If there was there would be alot of dead audiophiles. What counts is the integrity of the contact (how tight it is) . With heavier cables and a lack of space behind audio gear the angled pins could accommodate where it would otherwise be near impossible.I have nothing against bananas per se and use them along with spades and pins. I'm just pointing out some benefits of the pins.

  3. Both work the same.  I use and prefer banana plugs because I feel like they are a better fit in my equipment.

  4. Bananas. The dual bananas from Radio Shack work great.

This is because you connect into the end of the binding post.

With pin connectors- you have to hit the side hole and this is hard to do in a thick forest of binding posts.
