  1. or

    www.peta2.com

which I like better than the original peta...

who knows, maybe you will too...

  2. I second those whom don't like PETA.  I also don't like many other groups.  I want get on my soapbox here.  I am president of an exotic/wild animal rescue group.  We also rescue horses. I have been involved & seen many rescue groups rescue & or prosecute people for many of the wrong reasons such as a skinny very old horse.  I don't believe law should mandate these animals be put to sleep, although I believe it would releave sufforing.  I personaly would put an animal to sleep if it were sufforing.  It shouldn't be a crime to let nature take its course in these situations.  Stepping off my soap box I could say more.

  3. I'm not sure what you're wanting to find out, but here's a good article on how to fight it. :)

  4. www.peta.org

    All you need to know

    np

  5. PETA is definately not the way to go. They are extreme-ists. They do not believe in pets and think pet owners are cruel.

RSPCA or any rescue society is a good place to look.

  6. There are many forms of animal cruelty. So your question is kinda vage.

Animal cruelty, can come in many forms. I think that the Animal Planet w/ there work w/ ASAPC in different states do a wonderful job on showing the abuse that some ppl do to there animals, which 1 animal will make me just bawl my eye balls out for the cruelty they received.

Not feeding an animal for months, not taking an animal to a vet when it needs to see a vet, cutting whiskers off cats, shooting dogs, allowing animals to fight for money/death, not taking a dog to a groomer the dog ends up w/ bad nats in hair, left outside w/ not the proper shelter in hot and cold conditions. Breeders can also be cruelty if you have too many and health problems.

Then the whole why ppl become vegans. The treatment of animals in the process of being slaughtered in factories. Animals being used for testing products.

Peta is a great source for information. I'm not going to give them a "they suck", "there the greatest".

There is pros and cons to every animal cruelty site/organization.

I personally think that this site is much more informational (picture wise), the flash can be somewhat annoying and take some time to enter the site:

    http://www.animalcruelty.com/

    Another page:

  7. its immoral

  8. i know the person who posted above me said PETA. but those people support celebs, and want total animal liberation-ie everyone out of the cages running about free, frolicking (not in the fields so much . . .)

i used to look into PETA a lot but just a fair shout, dont get sucked in.

    keep an open mind.

  9. What do you need to know?

I wouldn't use PETA. They're hypocrits and kill animals themselves.

If you really want an unbiased balance on animal cruelty, use sites like-

    www.rspca.co.uk

If you insist on looking at the biased, extermist PETA (www.peta.org) then balance it out and realize PETA are cruel to animals too at www.petakillsanimals.com

And please take EVERYTHING PETA says with a pinch of salt. E.G., it's not cruel to eat meat, you just need to realize where it comes from. They say /everyone/ is an animal murderer in some way, and you have to realize they're the extreme, and don't actually do anything.

(Out of the millions of animals in their shelters, they've only rehomed something like 6%. They've put down many, many more! They don't believe in animals being kept as pets, so I would consider this attitude rather cruel.)

Current animal cruelty in the news-
