I need help creating 60th anniversary party favors. But my real question is this; I was thinking of making my own little tags for the party favors at home, however i want to use a metallic ink for the writing on it. Would it be cheaper to get the tags done somewhere or is it cheaper to do it myself??

any answers will be much appreciated!

  1. I think doing it yourself would definitely be cheaper and more personal.

  2. It's always cheaper to do them yourself, but you will relieve some stress if you allow someone else to do them.

    Have fun!

  3. I am pretty sure that it would be cheaper to do the tags yourself than to have them done by someone else, unless you had to invest in a bunch of expensive equipment - which, in this case, you wouldn't.  For the rest of the favors, I would think about the couple - something distinctive about their relationship - and use that theme for the favors.  For example, if they honeymooned in Hawaii, make something related to that theme, like origami birds of paradise or something (unless the rest of the party has a different theme).  Additionally, you could utilize colors that coordinate with the party.  Have fun!

  4. you can get the materials pretty cheap at a craft store, use a scissors with a scalloped edge and paste one color over another, punch a hole, add a ribbon.  Use a metalic paint pen to add your own note to the cards....60 years of bliss, that sort of thing.  Much cheaper than having them made.  YOu can also print things out on the computer, and office max sells really nice paper that can be folded to make cards/invitations...
