Another Red Sox/Yankee question?

Question

Is this the biggest rivalry in all of sports? In my opinion, it is. But i only really keep up with football and baseball...

what does everyone else say?

probably some big soccer rivalries lol those fans are pretty crazy but the biggest of american sports

it only really got interesting about 5 years ago, so no...it's probably not the biggest in all of sports.

Rivalries like the Celtics vs. Lakers, Raiders vs. Chiefs, or even the Dodgers vs. Giants are historically better rivalries.

This is a great rivalry right now, but it's not the best in sports....there isn't a ton of good long term history.

Definitely the biggest rivalry in baseball and very possibly all of sports.

The only ones that come close that I can think of is Ohio State-Michigan in college football and Duke-North Carolina in college basketball.

Biggest in NBA is probably Celtics-Lakers.

Biggest in NFL is probably Bears-Packers, Steeler-Browns, or Cowboys-Redskins.

There are alot of rivalry's going back for years. Some just stand the test of time. these are a few.

Red sox  yankees

celtics     lakers

maple leafs  canadians

arsenal  chelsey  man u (a triple rivalry)

dodgers  giants

mets  philly

yankees  mets

in the olympics up to 1988 U.S.A  U.S.S.R (but the rivalrys still there as russia.)

barcelona madrid

duke Tarheels

ohio state michigan

u.s.c   u.c.l.a

these are just a few rivalrys in sports that make people laugh and cry. but in all i have to say the biggest rivalry for me is yankees redsox. Probably one of the oldest and still the best continues to make people wonder even if you arent a fan of the 2 i hope this answers your question

wow...can't believe someone said "not a lot of history" Look up the fight where Bill Lee got hurt (1977 I think) 1918 ring a bell? DiMaggio or Williams...how about that? It is the biggest rivalry in sports. Lots of history, lots of bad blood, lots of great games!

There are a h**l of a lot of other sports rivalries just as big as this, but this one is the biggest in America.

To the guy above me, this rivalry goes back to 1918 dude. If that's not history, what is?

Redsox vs Yankees is always gonna be the biggest rivalry in all sports. I mean cmon these teams have had brawls in the past, played in playoff games and have played some great regular season games over the past 90 years.
