My friend is wondering if you can use monster reborn on XYZ Cannon.

no because it says this card can only be special summoned by removing from play the monsters needed so you cant special summon it any other way

i tryed that on a GBA game but it only worked when i somened the monster 1st then it gets destroyed!! ^_^

The answer is no, and I'll tell you why so you can understand it better:

[XYZ-Dragon Cannon]

"X-Head Cannon" + "Y-Dragon Head" + "Z-Metal Tank"

This card can only be Special Summoned from your Fusion Deck by removing from play the above cards on your side of the field. (You do not use "Polymerization".) This card cannot be Special Summoned from the Graveyard. By discarding 1 card from your hand, destroy 1 card on your opponent's side of the field."

To be blunt, the card says "This card cannot be Special Summoned from the Graveyard." This means that even if you were to Fusion Summon it from your Fusion deck correctly, the card's "effect" would stop you from bringing it back from the Graveyard.

Keep in mind that "Special Summoning" is any kind of summoning other than a Normal Summon. Summoning from the Graveyard, Deck, or even from your Hand by the effect of a card, are all considered Special Summons.
