  1. .500 and his ave is .000 he's 0/1

  2. yeah 500....cause of the 1st guy said so

  3. he/she would now be 0 - 1

    .000 BA

    .500 OBP

    My question is:  does someone have to score to make it considered a Sac Fly?  Is moving someone over to third on a long fly a sacrifice?

  4. Cubswinin08 is the only one who got the average right. It's not .000. If you're 0-0, you have no average. You can't divide something by 0 and get a percentage, or anything else for that matter.

    Several others got the OBP right.

    And yes, A run has to score for it to a sacrifice fly. Showstopper, you're wrong on the sacrifice fly. A run MUST score for it to be a sacrifice fly.

  5. On-base percentage is calculated using this formula:

    OBP = (AB+ BB+ HBP) / (AB+BB+HBP+SF)

    where

    H = Hits

    BB = Bases on Balls (Walks)

    HBP = times Hit By a Pitch

    AB = At bats

    SF = Sacrifice Flies

    therefore is OB% is 1.00

  6. To all of you who said his average is .000-

    Learn baseball before you come on here and act like you know it.

  7. Stays at 1.000. A sac fly doesn't count as an at bat.

  8. .666

  9. .500

  10. .500 sac fly doesn't hurt your Average but hurts your OBP

  11. .500

    A sac fly doesn't hurt your average, but it does hurt your on base %
