Another drain question?

Can you point me to a website where I can see what a normal drain (sewage drain) looks like (I mean in the city)?

Are there rules and regulations about what a drain is supposed to

look like and what functions it should perform?

That stuff is usually in your city registar (I'm in the united states in the city of alpharetta, Georgia, but our systems are basically the same). You'll need to give a good reason to see the blueprints for your building for the sewers (safety/terrorism issues I suppose).

Also, your building's superintendent might have a copy or access to the building's sewage drain blueprints. And yes, it is most definately regulated by rules and regulations but I don't live where you do so I don't know what they are.

TRY HEPWORTH DRAINAGE AND THEY WILL PROBABLY HELP ..IF NOT TRY YOUR LOCAL BUILDING SUPPLIER AND HAVE A LOOK ON THE RACKS IN THE YARD AND ASK QUESTIONS AND I,M SURE YOU WILL GET SOME ANSWERS.. ITS EASY TO UNDERSTAND ONCE YOU GET INTO IT ..ALSO TRY YOUR LOCAL COUNCIL OFFICES THEY HAVE PEOPLE WHO HAVE TO INSPECT NEW DRAINAGE SYSTEMS  MUCH THE SAME AS THE OLD ONES BUT EASIER TO BUILD AND YES GOOD OLD PLASTIC ..HOPE THIS HELPS

you have two drains a foul for sewage and a storm drain for rain water.

The pipe for both drains are 100mm leaving you property and go to a manhole then they may alter to 150mm or bigger depending on the amount of propertys using the system, they are now usually made of plastic they used to be clay, There are strict rules related to drain laying
