what the minimum distance required for a video projector to display on a 80inx80in screen or a 70inx70in

  1. It depends on the projector ... the optics are different. First, few projectors are designed for square screens (most are 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio), but assuming a 4:3 screen 80"x60" (100" diagonal) the Eiki LC-XWP2000 will fill the screen at 7.1' (2.16 m) throw distance (See link).

    The projector calculator at the link can also be used to calculate the range of throw distances any projector in their database requires to fill a screen of a specified size.

    Note that some projectors (usually higher priced models) have optional short throw lenses.
