i have an account and a saving account both with the same bank. i am little overdrawn in currant account.

My brother is going to put some money into my savings account.

What i would like to know is can the bank take out of my savings account to pay of overdraught.

  2. i very much doubt it,i think you'd have to transfer it to the other account 1st.

  3. it would depend on the terms of your current account and whether the overdraft was agreed in advance etc but bank should not transfer the money without your knowledge.  Banks are not giving great rates of interest at the moment so if your brother is kind enough t be giving you some cash check on line to make sure you are getting the best deal possible. There may be other savings accounts available with better interest rates. Google savings accounts to get websites that show comparisons.
