Ant problems...HELP??

we've got some adorable kittens where i work...and its my job to feed them right now cuz the boss is on vacation....but ants keep getting into their food. and im sure their biting their little paws along with eating all their food....if i move the bowl, they'll just move along with it....so how do i get rid of these pesky little ants???

Pour liquid soap all around the bowls another pet friendly way to combat them is vinager as well but it doesnt work as good. But with the soap it will make a force field persay that the ants will not cross. (its sticky, and smelly to the ants and they will loose interest.)

Put a little black pepper in their food. Only a small amount. Ants hate pepper. You can also use cinamon. Ants hate that too.
