Anthony Kim?

Question

Anthony Kim just took 7th place today, giving him 3 top 10 finishes in a row. Will he break into the top 10 golfers in the world, or will he be like Michelle Wie, who placed 4 out 7 top 5 finishes in 2006, then faded to nothing?

i'm not sure where it will put him in the rankings, but he most likely will not end up in the top ten.  most of the young guys in the top 10 have been in the mix consistently for at least a few years.  i do not believe that he will fade to nothing.  the kid has all of the necessary tools.  not only does he have swing and putting stroke, he also has an impeccable mental game and he is gaining valuable experience.  we will be seeing his name on the first page of the leader board for a long time to come.

Anthony Kim is here to stay. Confidence is the strongest asset to being successful in golf and Anthony exudes confidence. His two wins this year already have him ranked 13th in the world rankings. He will definitely break into the top 10 of the world rankings. It's great to see a young talent such as Anthony leap over some of the established, emotionless lumps that think they rule the golf world.

my guess is he will soon return to his old ways of partying and binge drinking and will fall out of competition and be just another sad story of wasted talent

First we need to compare apples with apples here. If you remember Kim has already won two tournements this year plus placing in the top 10. Based on those stats he is deserving of a top 5 on the PGA. What has Wie done anyway? Sad that she thought (sorry her parents thought) the PGA was the place for her when she can't even win on the LPGA tour.
