Antivirus 2009 help?!?

My moms computer has been infected with this antivirus 2009 c**p. I read a little bit about it and there are all these websites to remove it. The computer keeps freezing and I cant get to any websites. any advice??

I had a friend with the same problem ... I had to go into the Registry and remove it all manually ... WARNING removing or changing the wrong thing in the registry can cause you computer to stop functioning ....

If your game ... start-run-(type in) regedit - from the toolbr select Edit then Find and type in antivirus 2009 ... anything it finds you can right click and delete .... to search further hit F3 or edit Find and next

ONLY delete those entries containing a reference to  "antivirus 2009"

If you boot into safe mode then you will be able to remove it. Simply reboot into safe mode with networking and then go to http://www.spyware-techie.com/how-to-rem... and download smitfraudfix. follow the steps. it is a 100% free tool that should work for you. I have done it a few times on a few different computers.
