Antivirus xp 2008? p.c troubles?

what should i do to get this program off my p.c? ive been informed a spyware program would be needed can i get any free tips on good one?

dont use the virus killer that first pop up when you get the virus

because those are  just more viruses =].

malware bytes anti-malware it worked for me then  i put advanced windows care 2 personal on to my machine and now it runs like a treat try them both !
