  1. You will be lucky to get one even at a shelter for that price.

You say you are not asking for the perfect puppy, but if you only have $50 to buy it will you be able to afford at least $1,000 for all of it's needs over the cost of buying it for it's first year? Chihuahua's can get hurt so easily too. It's easy to run up another $1000 or more in a hurry with a broken leg or some other injury.

Buying the dog is the least expensive part of owning a dog. Please think very carefully for your sake and the dogs before you get into something you may well not be able to aford.

  2. Goodluck in finding one for $50! In NZ the cheapest ive seen around is $500 and they go fast. You should get a Pomeranian, they are sooo much better :)

  3. whos gonna pay for it when it gets sick? for the vet bills? the food? the toys? the bed? the crate? the leash? etc... who? don't get a dog wait until u have enough money o btw for is spelled f o r not f r o just letting u no and btw again u have not been dying for a puppy r u dying r u bleeding r u dead no

  4. You are not going to get a pure chi pup for $50.00.  If that is all you can afford then you really can't afford a dog.  Dogs cost money, they require vet care, food, beds and plenty of other stuff.  You just don't buy a dog and that is it.  You can;t even get an adult dog at most shelters for $50.00

  5. It sounds more like you're asking for a fashion accessory. Paris Hilton should not own a dog. She sends bad messages to people like you.

  6. Just go to your local pound or shelter.  There are lots of pups.  $50 won't even cover the adoption fee.  You will have to save some more money.

  7. google a rescue organization for chihuahuas.

Having said that, a dog requires about $1,000 a year on average, to maintain.

  8. go to this web write first your city       city.craigslist.com you can find there almost everything sometimes the people have to move and they give you for free ,this web is like a newspaper

  9. We currently have TEN at our shelter.  But we have a $100 adoption fee.  There are many in shelters all across the country.  They are the second most overbred dog and make up a high percentage of the 4 million dogs and puppies that were killed in this country last year because there weren't homes.  We spay/neuter them for free because we are so sick of killing them just because of greedy backyard breeders.

If you don't have the money, you shouldn't be getting a pet anyways.  They are very expensive.  You will need a crate, dog food, treats, training.  What are you going to do if the puppy gets sick?  How are you going to afford shots so that it doesn't get sick?  It's not fair to get the puppy and then let it die because you can't afford a vet.  These are all things you need to think about before you get a pet.  Also, how old are you?  Chis can live 20 years so you are looking at having this dog for the next 20 years of your life.  Is this a commitment you are willing to make or is that going to be too long?  Pets are a lifetime commitment.

If you just want a pet to love and not a "perfect" pet, there are many out there who are desperate for your love.  Since you can't afford one right now, why not volunteer at your local shelter?  I guarantee they are overrun with chihuahuas and will often get litters in (we do all the time).  You can do a GREAT thing just by sitting in their kennel runs with them and socializing them.  It would be a great way to help out.  It will also give you a chance to get to know a lot of different breeds and dogs/puppies so that when you do have the money to afford the pet and the care, you will be able to choose one just right for you and your lifestyle.
