Im catchin a plane in a couple of weeks to qld. seeing how where i live it will only take an hr to get up there. im not scared of being in the plane when it lands or when its in the air but i am terrified of going up in the plane because of the way it takes off.

i know it will be over in a couple of minutes but i would really love to get some advice to help me feel for comforable and calmer about taking off in a plane.

  1. As for a seat at the back, and if you can, lay on your side, spreading yourself over two seats. This will make you feel like you are laying in the back seat of a moving car.

Also, have your ipod on to block out the airline sounds, and suck on a lolly or chew gum to prevent your ears from blocking.

Also, wear loose clothing so you don't feel like you are tied down etc. It will let your body breath, which is essential in being able to relax during takeoff.

    Have fun!

  2. i always find lookin out the window helps me. although this wont help if ur afraid of heights...

also suckin on a nice lolly or sumthin.

if u r going with someone just keep tlkain to them and try not to think about it too much.

    relax and hav fun!

  3. You see the planes pop wheelies (rotating) when taking off, but it's nothing to worry about as you don't feel it when you're riding. If anything, you could hold someone's hand and close your eyes so that you don't see anything.
