i read somewhere that 50s middleweight boxer randolph turpin was deaf. is this true?

PROBLEMS NOT DEAF HE COULD HER BUT NOT LIKE YOUR OR MINE... YEAR BEAT SUGAR LOT THE NEXT MAYBE SHOULD NOT OF BEEN STOP BUT HE WAS FINE WITH THAT AND NEVER SAID ANYTHING MOST WOULD...VERY GOOD BOXER OVER LOOK BY ALL.

Ive never heard that, he certainty was not deaf in most of his fights or his fight with Sugar Ray Robinson. He was a bit of an odd ball and later shot himself. But deaf?? I don't think so, not that I have ever known about anyways.
