Question:

Any civilan contractor workers in Iraq????

I am looking at become a civilian contractor worker for KBR, looking for some insight on what I am getting myself into. What is it like??? would like to speak with anyone who has been there or know of anyone there now. Is this the best company to work for???? writing this for my husband. Any info would be helpful.   1. I doubt if you find too many people here unless they know someone or tell you your crazy or to go for it. I did know many and serve around alot on my numerous deployments. and might work with them once I retire or another company.

    As for work, well it depends on what he is going to do and where. The guys and gals I knew said even when things got rought they would just look at their check and things would be alright. Also, they receive good time off every 3 months and took leave for 21 days every 6 months. The hours were 12-18 hours depending on the job (HVAC repair, trucking, security), but if you work laundry, food service or admin sometimes they were more set and 8-10 hour days, 6 days a week. You'll live as good as the troops, sometimes better, but hey, your there for them.

    I say go to there website and your husband can find out all this info. If he is deployed now, he can simply just ask a KBR person. Have the resumes ready! They will hire you right away and ship you out in weeks or a month or two if they like what you can do. If you both go together, even better.
