Question:

Any last tips? 100 free?

I'm trying to qualify for a special meet on my 100 free. Friday is my meet and I should be able to qualify and swim fast enough, but I'm anxious. And nervous. My coach is putting a lot of pressure on me to make it. I'll either be milliseconds over or milliseconds under.

Any little time saving tips? thanks

  1. FAST START AND GOOD TURNS.  You do these things perfect and I guarant that you will make this meet.  

    Also remember not to breathe off any walls, as this will stop your momentum coming off of the walls.

    AND FINALLY....

    KEEP KICKING!!!!!

  2. Make sure that you do 3 or more dolphin kicks off the wall, and do a fast flip turn. A 100 is a sprint, you don't have time to work out a pace. Don't give up on that last 25, keep on kicking!!!  Also remember to spring off the block, using lots of force.   Good luck, you'll do fantastic!

  3. Make sure you get yourself pumped before a race. i know with my swims, the make-or-break was whether I was in it enough to go through my ritual of getting psyched up (my own stretches, warm up 10 min before race, ipod, jumping, etc.)

    Firs 25 stay calm and steady and just keep up, then after the first 25 its a dead sprint to the finish. There's not much more to it.
