  1. Just keep going over in your mind..and the manual...everything that you learned from drivers training...let somebody quiz you on everything...and when you get to your road test..don't freeze up...and just do what you've learned....the best advice is don't be tense and just relax and breathe...and I'm sure you'll be fine.

  2. Scan

    breathe

    eat before your test

make sure SEATBELTS are on before starting the car

    BE confident

look to the right before turning right

    BODY MOVEMENT

HEAD, EYES AND BODY WHEN LANE CHANGING

    STOP IS STOP

    STOP BEHIND LINES

  3. Take a few deep breaths and have a drink of water.

Driving examiners will usually be sympathetic to your feelings, as they see reaction quite often in their line of work.

Some allow students a moment or two to compose themselves before the test begins.

If you are offered this opportunity, take it.

Nerves usually subside after the test has started.

  4. Hi, Make sure you know all your equipment an dhow to use it. If you do not know this the examiner will not get in the car with you.

They will say turn on your car. Only turn it on till you see the battery ICON. DO NOT START the engine until they are IN your car and they have SEATBELT on.

MAKE sure once you are in the car, buckle up and do not remove it until you are back to the DMV after your test.

Arm signals-all 3 of them-Right - Left_ Slow or stop

    defrost switch

    windshield wiper switch

    headlights

    emergency flashers

    emergency brake

    right turn-left turn signal

    rear view mirror

    glove box

    brake lights

    foot brake

The road test is about the rules of the road.

Stop behind the limit line/pedestrian line

Make sure you can see the vehicle in front of you the BACK tires touch the road or you are too close.

Body movement. Move your head and eyes.

    S.M.O.G. when you lane change.

Signal-look in your Mirror-turn your head looking OVER your shoulder-GO if safe.

SCAN ahead in case you need to lane change. Do not wait till you are upon the scene to lane change.

Turn your head  looking over your shoulder before making the complete right turn.

    STOP means STOP!!!

    Do not roll and go.

Right turn on red if allowed but ONLY after you have stopped.

    NO music

GREET them with hello do not act scared. If you show fear they can tell and you will alarm them.

I can not stress enough about scanning and body movement.

    GOOD LUCK TO YOU!
