Platitudes and Long Hair

I don’t care

for platitudes

and long hair

garble

matching blue with blue

whiter teeth

natter over nothing

diamonds glitter

on the hand of one

who doesn’t care

the age of beauty

just the cost and carat

standing all panaplied

fit for a palace grand

one who doesn’t, can’t,

or won’t perceive a purpose

in emptiness except to fill

or nakedness except to cover.
