I dont know what it is, but I dont feel like doing things, physically that is, like pryers even sometimes, I will think that its time to do it and will be qada soon, but I just cant do it, it sounds crazy, but what prayers or whatever will help.

No medication, natural foods will be thought about, but prayers would be most appreciated.

  1. Read this dua, it has helped me a lot.

Allahumma inni a’oodhoo bika minal-hammi-walhazan. Wa’a oodhoo bika minal-ghammi-wal-kasal. Wa’a oodhoo bika minal jubni wal bukhl. Wa’a oodhoo bikal min ghalabatid-dayni-waqarir rijal.

Oh Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief, from helplessness and laziness, from cowardice and stinginess, and from overpowering of debt and from oppression of men.

  2. When I'm feeling really lazy and don't want to get up I say Bismallah I'll get up and do whatever, then I feel obligated so I do it :)

  3. yes I was going to send the same dua' as =)

those are very good duas from the sunnah.

    specially the first one.

    Anxiety, Laziness and Sorrow

    Distress

    http://www.makedua.com/display_dua.php?s...

    Morning & Evening

    http://www.makedua.com/display_dua.php?s...

    I also read

laa ilaaha illallaahu wahdahu laa sharikalah

    lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu

wa huwa 'ala kulli shai-in qodeer. (10 times or more)

‘None has the right to be worshipped except Allaah, alone, without partner, to Him belongs all sovereignty and praise and He is over all things omnipotent.’

The Messenger of Allaah (S) said: ‘Whoever says in the morning …has indeed gained the reward of freeing a slave from the children of Ismaa’eel, and ten of his sins are wiped away and he is raised ten degrees, and he has found a safe retreat from the devil until evening. Similarly, if he says it at evening time, he will be protected until the morning.’

since it gives protection from shaitaan, and laziness is from shaitaan, i found this very beneficial.

a'oothu billaahi minash shaitanir rajeem is also taking protection with Allah from shaitaan helps.

sometimes i listen to this lecture on this site: http://understand-islam.net/audio/androm...

specially lecture # 6 and 7... I find them very motivational.

hope any of those would help inshallah.

    wa aleikumus salaam wa rahmatullah

  4. When you dont feel like getting up, its Shaitan who holds you back. So what you do is to kick his ***...(just kick hard in the air)....Shaitan will run away....................its the way my grandfather taught me but as I grew up I learned that by kicking in air was actually help us fully awake....and we can go to pray.....................

  5. tell your parents to set a mad dog behind you. Trust me it works, you'll be on your feet forever.

  6. It seems like it is all physical activities that you have problems with. Perhaps it is a medical problem - have yourself checked out. The Prophet (SAW) recommended that we must not sit or sleep directly after having a meal. This I think, from my expieriences, causes laziness. From my expieriences as well - If you are feeling lazy but manage to finally get to pray then that prayer seems to be so elevating and special. Use this to motivate yourself. The duas that others recommend are good.

  7. Whenever you feel lazy when it comes to doing Ibadah, realize that it's Shaytan who's making you lazy. Recite "Audhu billahi minash-shaytanir rajeem", and get up and pray or do what you need to do. Also, realize that if it's something that you have to do, then you just can't skip it. You should try to change it from seeming like a burden, and make it something that you actually like doing. Read about the rewards of praying, making Dua, doing Dhikr, etc. It should make you feel better about doing it, and make you feel more motivated.

This is a Dua for protection against laziness:

    اَللّهُمَّ إِنِّيْ أَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْعِجْزِ ، وَالْكَسْلِ، وَالْجُبْنِ ، وَالْهَرَمِ ، وَالْبُخْلِ ، وَأَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ، وَأَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ.

    Allâhumma innî a'udhu bika minal-ajzi wal-kasli wal-jubni wal-harami wal-bukhli, wa a'udhbika min adhabil qabri, wa a'udhubika fitnatil mahya walmamat.

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from weakness and laziness, miserliness and cowardice, anxiety and sorrow, and I seek refuge in You from the torments of grave, and I seek refuge in You from the trials and tribulations of life and death.

Here is a very nice Dua, that we should say frequently:

اللهم أعني على ذكرك, وشكرك, وحسن عبادت

Allahumma a’innee ‘ala dhikrika, wa shukrika, wa husni 'ibadatik.

Mu`adh ibn Jabal (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (PBUH) held my hand and said, “O Mu`adh, By Allah, I love you and advise you not to miss supplicating after every Salat (prayer) saying: `Allahumma a`inni `ala dhikrika wa shukrika, wa husni `ibadatika,’ (O Allah, help me remember You, expressing gratitude to You and worship You in the best manner)”.

    [Abu Dawud and An-Nasa'i].

  8. Salam for you my dear friend. Some tips for curing of laziness are :

1)remind that Allah will know your reason and know also what is hide outin your heart

2)remember that prayer on time will have more rewards than a too late prayer

    3) making qada  prayer has certain requirement if it is not met you will have sin such as of your laziness can not be made by a qada

4)change the obligation of prayer to a need  of prayer in your life at least 5 times a day to make a direct communication with Allah

5)make a dua in your own language in order Allah eliminates your laziness by mentioning audzu billah hi minasyaitonir rojjib for asking protection of Allah from the cruel satans as the beginning of dua becau

se laziness is made by satans who temptated you
