I really don't think it should end. Instead I think it should be universally legalized...why? Because I think that if prostitution was legal, people who were sexually frustrated could visit a prostitute instead of raping women and children.

Of course there would need to be age limits enforced like they should be in the adult film industry, but prostitution is not going anywhere. You might as well use it as a tool to benefit society.

Ending prostitution is certainly something very complex, and the answer is hardly simple.

Prostitution is the selling of our most base asset (our bodies) to get some sort of monetary gain. Humans do it regularly, whether we want to call it prostitution or not.

Regardless of our wants and needs, we have the desire to procreate. That desire comes in many, many forms and eventually finds many ways to come out. One of those ways happens to be giving money for the short-term gratification of prostitution.

The problem is that there are no "evil" people in this. The prostitutes are desperately looking for money, and those purchasing their services are in need of a discrete, sexual encounter. Neither of those are evil in themselves, so why should prostitution be?

The problem is not prostitution itself. Even being the second-oldest profession (midwifery is actually the first) doesn't bar it from the regulations that all other professions have had to undergo for thousands of years. Let us accept that sexual part of ourselves and do what we can for the poor people who are involved in this circumstance.

Well maybe it would change if women did not play so hard to get. Then men would not reach down into a hole of desperation and pay for s*x just so they can feel a fake sense of passion, love, and attention.

we cannot actually eliminate prostitution 100%, but at least we can bestow taxes in it. ^_^
