Throwing the ball down-field, accuracy, I already have good speed and agility to take off and run. Whatever you have that can help.

  1. Do this before training: set up a bullseye target, it can be made of cardboard, paper, or anything easily acessible that you can write or draw on.  Then, tape it to a vertical surface(brick wall, chain fence, etc.). Now to the actual training drills. Ok first, do drills that keep you fast and agile(sprints, high knees*, etc.). If you were to do a 2 hour practice, you would give this about 20-25 mins of attention, or about 1/6 of your time.

Then, use the bullseye target you made earlier, and throw a football at it. This is a MAJOR point, so in a 2 hour practice you would do this 40 or 50 mins, or about 1/3 of however much time you are training.

Next, you find the nearest park, field, big abandoned lot, etc. and throw the ball as far as you can. Use about 1/4 of your time doing this to practice your power.

Finally, use the remaining 1/4 of your time to work out, to improve your power. This is intense, but it improves QBs fast if they spend enough time on it.

*It's like running, only while you are doing it you are lifting your knee up as high as you can with every pace.
