Anybody else hate parking wardens?

Question

I was in town and an old person collapsed so I stayed with them until the ambulance arrived using my first aid, then I got back to my car 10 mins late and saw a parking warden putting a ticket on it. I explained to the warden but in a thick and slow voice they said they have written it out now and I would have to appeal to the council. I wrote to appeal to the council but they said tough. I was just wondering if people think parking wardens are the most hated people and what kind of people would want to do that anyway. Do they have to be desperate for a job?

If what you say is true and there isn't something you're not telling us I would get the local paper to make a big story about it, especially if you know how to contact the old person or the hospital they were taken to.

No way would I accept a fine in that situation.

They seem to have a smirk on their face when confronted with common sense decisions.There is nothing lovable about how they do their Job

You cant really blame the warden for that he/shes doing her job. At least they are not doing something illegal. I dont hate anyone police officers traffic wardens etc everyones a individual. Alot of people hate parking wardens, true but i dont. No they do not have to be desperate for a job because alot of highly skilled people are parking wardens because they enjoy the walking side of the job and enforcing the rules.

Its a free for all now, proper wardens i have no problem with although they are just wannabe renta cops.  But i cannot abide the scum parking attendants.  You know the a******s with the ticket machine and stupid uniform.  In Edinburgh they are diabolical, i had dealings with them and for the last two years we've had them In Belfast, a private off-shoot of NCP tendered by the city council.  I hate them, a detestable bunch of parasites too stupid to get a proper job.  I'm not advocating violence towards them but if they get a smacking they probably deserve it.

I don't hate anyone for doing their job*. Better that than being on the dole.

*excepting, of course, lawyers and employment agents - dirty scum parasites that they are...

They are doing there jobs and not sitting around whining for someone else to support them, so no, I don't hate them - I applaud them for having a work ethic.  If you had been able to confirm you story to the council, they probably would have rescinded the ticket; but, if it was simply your word that you were being heroic, then they had nothing on which to base a reversal.  Pay the ticket and cease your slurs against people doing their jobs.
