  1. It would be better if you pick a dish that you know you make well. Main dish--think protein:

    Baked beans with ham

    Meat loaf

    Chicken Pot Pie

    Chicken and dumplings

    Ham or ham biscuits

Chicken salad for sandwiches (take bread)

    Steak & gravy

    Country fried steak

    Chicken loaf

    Chicken and rice

    Salmon patties

    Fish fingers

    Chicken tenderloins-fried

  2. chicken broccoli casserole-

    u will need :

    A DISPOSABLE ALUMINUM PAN

    1 Chicken (whole or pieces)

    Bag of broccoli

Can of cream of mushroom soup

2  Box of  chicken stuffing (any brand)

    2 bags h shredded cheese

    Its really simple to make,

1)boil the chicken until it comes from the bone

    2)steam them brocolli

    3) Pull chicken apart in shreads

    4)Make stuffing

5)mix all in together and bake at 350 -370 covered with aluminum foil about 40-45 min(or until cheese melts within

  3. Fettucini! I don't have the recipe handy but it's so easy - basically you make it from evaporated milk and lots of parmesan cheese, and herbs. Oh, and garlic! Fry up (or bake if you want it to be healthier, but it tastes better fried, like most things sadly...) some chicken and add it and the cooked noodles to the sauce. If I can find the recipe shortly I'll post it - otherwise, I'm sure there are many to be found online!  You can also add broccoli or mushrooms or whatever else you like.  It's always a big hit, and easy to make!

  4. I find chili to be a good dish for a potluck. If you make it mild, not too spicy, then most people like it. Make sure to bring some cheese, sour cream, and Fritos for those people who like toppings on their chili.

I guess it really depends on your location. If you're located in a part of the world where something is in season right now, try to use that for your recipe.

Other things that I have made for potlucks that have been hits are a simple chicken, rice, and broccoli casserole and a pizza wreath made on a pizza stone.

Good luck and definitely have fun cooking!

  8. well I usually just make enchiladas you simply buy a large package of corn tortillas, a big block of cheese or already shredded cheese, a yellow onion, and about 12-16 dried mild red chili pods.

You cut off the stems of the chilie and spill out the seeds then soak the red chilies sans stems in a large bowl (or the sink) filled with hot water. while they soften grate your cheese and cut your onion. then when your pods are soft blend them with a bit of the hot water that they soaked in (this will create your sauce) strain the sauce so the huskish part of the chili separates from the true sauce. add a teaspoon of salt to the sauce. now dip the the tortillas into the sauce covering them completely, pull them out and line the pan with them then add cheese onion tortillas cheese onion tortillas layering until you reach the top put in a oven at 350 until the top layer of cheese is melted and turning brown at the edges (usually takes about 40 minutes) take out and let it cool and voila you have the most scrumptious enchiladas evar!!!! P.S. if you have left over sauce drizzle it on top.
