well, I'm in Ansbach, Germany right now and I go to Munich on the weekends.  Hmm...what's the purpose of the question?  He speaks only German?

I am in Stuttgart, Germany. Which is probably about 3 hrs south of me. What is he there for? Military, civilian? Does he speak English? Tell me more.

So your brother living in Germany and speak only German, you are in US and speak only English.

I don't know right now your question, but look like he need to learn English and you need to learn German. Also why are you not writing some letters in English and perhaps he try the same way too. Just stay in contact with him, he is your brother, just go to Munich and visit him.
