Question:

Anyone have TrackPass?

I'm looking for someone to either convince me to buy it or caution me against it. I need some pros and cons, here.

What is the coolest/your favorite thing about it, as well as some dispensable throwaway features?

  1. I have had it for years and will not watch a race without it.  There are different tiers.  You can purchase the scanner only and that is a good option for those on a budget.  Then, you can get PitCommand.  This is what I have.  You can see a driver's telemetry and where they are on the track.  You can also keep track of lap times, etc...  Finally, there is RaceView.  That is the program that freezes and crashes.  I had it but got so frusterated, I downgraded back to PitCommand.

  2. I have it and I have mixed feelings about it . I like hearing the drivers radio's and during the commercials you can still see where the drivers are running. Sometimes it locks up and you have to reboot your computer. A couple of times when they were letting people try it for free I couldn't get on and I called and complained .They said there was nothing they could do .But overall I have kept it so I guess it's not that bad !

  3. I have Scanner only.  I love hearing what the drivers are saying.  I use the Live leaderboard as well.  I have not heard much good about TrackPass.  If you go to TrackPass help you can see blogs about it.  That may help with your decision.

  4. WOW is that really ur pic  ,,,, your deff HOT

  5. it is good because you can c any driver at any time you want. bad because it doesnt show damage on the cars.

  6. i have scanner i love hearing my drivers on the radio :) the bad part is it messes up sometimes

  7. I had it for a while, it kept locking up my computer.

I tried having the Internet access check (slight "noise" problem according to my access company, no names but its initials are VERIZON).

Then it wouldn't load at all.

Then it would load, work fine for several hours and start skipping, like a bad Cher song.

    Well, there's my experience.

I no longer have it, just watch on TV when I can.

  8. I'm kicking myself in the butt for buying it for so many years.  The only advantage right now is the scanner.  There is nothing you can't get on another site for free or just by the telecast nowadays.     Most of it is just silly nonsense.

  9. I've had it since they started it,  you can just get the scanner by itself its pretty cheap...If you have the race view thing, everything is included, I've found that I like pit command the best...The only problem is several times a yr they offer it for free then it can take forever to get on, but even now I always log in 15-20 minutes before the race and have no problem..You can also listen to the race as well on MRN.. They do offer track pass at a cheaper rate once the chase starts, or atleast they did last yr.....Everyone brings their lap tops over to my place everyone has a different driver on its cool....I like it... I've never had it totally lock up on me, its just slow getting on some time.. I love listening to the drivers, they do not censor them so you get everything....

  10. I've bought Trackpass in the past, but decided to forgo paying for it because the Leaderboard gave me most of what I was looking for, which is in-race telemetry, speeds, and positioning.

That said, I have STOPPED using the NASCAR official "Leaderboard" because it doesn't work, is slow, freezes, and is way behind the race.  Instead, try using the Fox sports Race Trax feature at foxsports.com.  Much, much, better in-race statistics.

  11. Yes and it is GREAT!

Get Raceview and you get everything else.

Use all three and listen to the in car audio of your

    3 favorite drivers.

    well worth the money.

Never ever had a problem with it.

but then again I know how to delete cookies and defrag my computer to keep it running as it is meant to.

  12. I don't have TrackPass but a cool thing to do for free is watch the lap times.

  13. I was wondering myself.  I know near the end of the season you can purchase it by the month...or maybe you can anyway...I was considering doing that instead of a whole season.  That way if I didn't care for it I wouldn't be out as much.  Can't wait to see the other answers on this.
