Anyone have a wooden home?

Question

what advice would you give someone who is thinking of choosing a wooden home to be built on a plot of land?

i ask because iv seen some pretty cool ones, (not sure if theyr swiss or whatever)

are they cheaper than building a property out of bricks n mortar?

what about the weather? i live in Britain lol so obviously the weather is pretty wet an miserable! how do wooden homes hold up against such weather?

do you get more bugs indoors than you would in a regular homes?

what about rotting and mold etc

any advice......

do you love your wooden house? isnt there more freedom on the style etc

can you make houses from wood?

Wooden homes are the norm in the USA. as long as the wood is treated for termites, your house should be fine. Wooden construction is ligther and very easy to service , specially when it comes to electrical or plumbing repair . The home i live in was built in 1921 and has survived at least 3 hurricanes. as long as the roof shingles are replaced every 10 years of so, you should not have to worry about leaks.

I dont have a wooden home but i think that if you decied to get one it would look realy nice as the one si have seen look cool but rememebr to check each and every safty point you will need to.
