Has anyone heard or tried it out? It's a filipino brand of soap from the Philippines and its suppose to be a herbal whitening soap and used to get rid of dead skin cells. Im pretty sure they may sell it at your oriental stores at the back in china town, etc.

So has anyone tried it? And what were the results?

  1. i'm using it. i live here in Canada so when I went to Phils, I just bought a bunch..and my mom in Florida buys it there for me from a Filipino store and send it to me.

It's very effective not only for its whitening effect but also my skin is blemish free eversince i started using it.

i think you can also get it online but ofcourse with shipping charges> but it's worth it!

but try it at asian stores and some filipino stores around you. im sure they have it.

  2. To the other answers, Silka papaya whitens skin because of its enzymes getting rid of dead skin (exfoliation)? That's one silly reasoning. You can exfoliate your skin with other methods like scrubbing with body scrub and loofah so does that mean those products are whitening too? Think.

If you're looking for a whitening soap, check the ingredients if those can really whiten skin.

  3. I haven't tried it but my yaya did. I think it's a good soap. =)

  4. My wife uses it and she likes it.

I do not know where it would be available outside of the Philippines though...

  5. I like that soap and thats the one I buy every time I am in Philippines.  Its far superior to the body soaps in USA.  I don't know about the whitening value of it but it cleans good and smells good.  Good lather and the bar lasts longer than other bar soaps.

  6. ive tried it..its could specially the green the one.. but YSA is better..:P

  7. im using the Silka brand.. but i'm not using the papaya. what i'm using is the Silka in the white box. i forgot the name. i think it has pearl or something. it's effective! =)

you can buy it at any supermarket or mercury drug stores.

you can also try Belo Whitening soap (the pink and not the blue).. it's more effective.. =)

  8. ► in the philippines, LIKAS PAPAYA is very popular for its effectiveness. but there are a lot of papaya soaps that came out in the market.. and i think LIKAS PAPAYA SOAP is being exported to other countries. try finding one in a Filipino store (in case that you are not in the Philippines)

► anyway, if you want other effective brands: YSA PAPAYA, KISSA PAPAYA, SILKA PAPAYA, that's all i know.. :)

papaya soap contains the natural enzyme papain that is capable of whitening the skin thru skin peeling and resurfacing a new lightened skin tone... use this with a high spf sunscreen to prevent further skin darkening.

    All the best :)

  9. Nah! I don't really believe on those so-called "whitening products". I've known many people who used those product kind but did not get any lighter. If you're born w/ dark or deep brown skin, there's no way that your skin color becomes like that of Iya Villania, the product endorser (she's a Filipino-Australian btw so credit her skin color w/ her foreign genes).
