Anyone know about marionettes?

I am trying to find out what a marionette my Godfather bought is worth. It was purchased new in 1966 or 1967. It is a wooden female marionette doll about 31'' tall. If anyone has knowledge about marionette dolls I can send them photos of her.

They have been making puppets for hundreds of years, First check the puppet for any type of mark of a factory or country of origin. Many were made in England, Germany, USA and India. I would search ebay using puppet or marionette, but mainly puppet since its a shorter word look for one like yours. hope this helps
