could keep me up to date with environmental events, gatherings, lectures and all that , around my area?

any good websites out there ? cuz so far I have only oen reliable resource and thats the toronto city website

So I'm assuming you live in Toronto...

I know for Los Angeles all I have to do is google "green" and variations thereof and I will get a ton of results, but for Toronto that may not be the case.

In this event if I were you I'd join an environmental group in the area.  You should be able to find one - perhaps even through the city website.  Once a member you should be able to talk to other members that share your passion for the environment and share information with them.  You will also likely hear about these events - announced in meetings or in online mailing lists.  

Seek out a general environmental group in your area and you will likely have all these things unfold to you.  These groups make it their job to keep the members up to date on this stuff.
