  1. Forrestdale is closest one to the cbd, and when it comes down to it in the long run, proximity to the cbd (jobs) has been the key factor in how well the investment will do in 20-30 years time.

Also factor in that petrol will be so expensive soon that living 30km out of the city will make those people really really poor compared to those living 20kms out regardless of whether it's near a beach or the hills, so plan for how long you expect to keep it for rather than some short term popularity which caught out a lot of people that bypassed on cheap areas like Inglewood and such in the 1980's only to find that they did much better than Duncraig, Carine etc which in the 1980's were more popular and more expensive. Now it's the opposite.

  2. I will choose Quinns Rocks over Clarkson simply for the reason that Quinns Rocks is closer to the beach comparing to Clarkson.  Its the next closer suburb to the beach after Mindarie Quay.  So, it'll be worth the investment.

I don't think I'll choose Forestdale,  I'd rather go to Success or Beeliar.  Easier access to the Freeway and closer to the beach than Forestdale.

Both Secret Harbour and Singleton are way too far from Perth.  I'd have thought that Quinns Rocks will be slightly closer to Perth.

From the list, I think I will choose Quinns Rocks.  It has good potential as there are not many options left in the north comparing to the south and its not too far from Joondalup.

    Good luck!

  3. I live in 'The Ridge' in Baldivis, 5-10 minutes from Secret Harbour it is very very quiet and relaxing here and there is a new school in the housing estate! its pretty well priced and the houses are beautiful! =)

If you are strict on staying with these one I would choose Singleton (my fav beach) or Secret Harbour!!!

  4. From my personal experience, I believe Singleton is a great place for an investment property. The new area in Singleton is beautiful and rental properties are in high demand there. As the property prices are going down now and in the near future, its the perfect time to buy an investment. Especially as with the interest rates rising and as such rent is being driven up.

I am a property manager in the area so I am going off of what I know of the Southern suburbs. I would say if you buy a 4x2 neat house for $430000 in Singleton you should get $300-$500 a week depending on area, size, closeness to amenities and such.

  5. The first 4 you chose are all close to water so they are expensive they are all nice areas Quinns and Clarkeson are about a hour north of Perth, and Singleton and Secret Harbour are about an hour south of Perth, i live in Mandurah next suburb from Singleton, but i lived in Perth and drove as a courier for 8 years so iknow them all well . Forestdale i dont know much about dont know prices , but it is very close to a sewrage farm that stinks. and i did see on tv a few years ago where people were up in arms about the drinking water being contaminated.

  6. Quinns rocks is beautiful, but far enough away from perth to not be ridiculously expensive (it is still up there though as it is coastal). There is the freeway for half the distance so it doesn't take too long to get to town. I would choose Quinns rocks.

  7. I live in the suburb next to Forrestdale and I haven't heard of any sewage plant there. There was some hoohah a few years ago about some sort of liquid waste site but that was in Brookdale.

When you say Forrestdale were you thinking of that new housing estate Newhaven? I think that would be a pretty good buy especially if the area around there is developed further.

What are you planning to do in Perth, do you need to be near a place of work or study? For me that would be a big factor in deciding where I was going to live.

  8. Secret Harbour
