Anyone played gigagolf clubs?

Just curious. My husband is looking at purchasing a set and has done a lot of research. Just wondering if anyone had any "real world" experience with them.

I've purchased and returned clubs to GigaGolf and had a good experience with them overall.

My first purchase was a set of Hybrid Revelations which are modeled after Adams similar line.  I got them standard fitted with grips and shafts.  They are a fine set of clubs and after using them the entire last season they are still in great shape.  Along with the irons I got fairway woods (GX) and a driver which was modeled after the Nike Square.  I did not care for either of them and had no issue returning them within their guidelines.  It cost about $10 to send them back but it was free shipping to me and the refund process was smooth.

My wife's entire set was the GX line and GigaGolf was very accomodating to her as she wanted the Winn G8 Pink Breast Cancer ribbon grips that were not listed on their website.  A quick e-mail and they had them there for her at no more of a price than a standard Winn G8 grip.  She has a couple hybrids, and fairway woods and loves them.

However, there are a couple other clone manufacturers to consider as well.  I use a driver and fairway woods purchased from Pinemeadow Golf.  I think the quality of their in house shafts and club heads on these clubs are superior.  However their irons appear to look cheaper.  My wife uses the ladies driver and loves the look and feel as well.

More recently I have purchased directly from Hireko Golf who actually manufactures a lot of clone club heads you see out there.  They are significantly cheaper than GigaGolf, Pinemeadow, or AllForGolf and have a lot more variety for customization of shafts and grips however I don't think their return policy is as strong.

Whatever you decide to do I highly recommend heading to the range and trying out the name brand version of the clubs that the clones are modeled after.

A popular idea is to spend the savings by upgrading the shafts and grips of the clubs which is what I have chosen to do this year.  These two components are often overlooked and are just as important.

I have purchased clubs from them. They have a great selection of components, shafts and grips. Your husband would have to know what shaft best fits his swing in order to get the right set.

I have three clubs by Gigagolf -- a driver and two wedges.  I spent a good deal of time researching my purchase for a new driver and trying various drivers and configurations at shops before deciding that a square-headed driver was right for me (and that I liked the Callaway FT-i).

As Gigagolf's GX squared was similar to the FTi (and about $200+ less), I decided to give it a try.  I've been using it for 5 months now and it performs amazingly well.  It's not a Callaway club, but the difference (and this is just my opinion) would not be worth the extra money I would have spent.  I've added consistency and an extra 30 yards to my drives.

As far as the wedges, they were a purchase to see if I'd like their irons.  I absolutely love their feel... and I again saved 75% off a name brand.

Now, what I don't have real world experience in is how long these clubs will last, but my initial impression is good.  One thing is for certain -- don't purchase clubs online without giving similar clubs a thorough tryout at a shop.
