OFCOURSE TAMILIANS WATCH MALAYALAM MOVIES. IS THERE ANYTHING THAT ONLY KERALA PEOPLE SHOULD WATCH IT.

No. They are far behind in movies. They dont know how to finish the movie.

I'm a Malayali but I live in the US and we have Surya TV so I watch it on there sometimes. I also watch a few Hindi movies too, with subtitles though. But I'm pretty sure some Tamil speakers watch Malayalam movies too because the languages are very similar.

There was a golden era in Malayalam movies, where Malayalam movie industry raked in numerous National awards for its qualities movies, and i personally know a few non-malayalam speakers who are  native speakers of Hindi and Bengali who wanted to get their hands on few of those Malayalam movies with subtitles.  As you know, Mohanlal and Mammootty are names not just known in Kerala, but outside of Kerala because of some of the quality movie works that they had done earlier (Kireedom, Bharatham, Oru Vadakkan veeragatha to name just a few).  

A lot of Tamil people watch Malayalam movies because of its similarity to their native tongue, but of course the numbers aren't as big as the reverse trend, that is, nearly not many Tamilians watch Malayalam movies as Keralites watch Tamil movies.
