Anyone take the CIP designation?

I was wondering if the courses were difficult or if it was ok.

Also if you do study it, did it benefit you in any way. (for e.g. help you get a job insurance company)

Generally speaking, insurance designations do not necessarily help you land insurance jobs, but they don't necessarily hurt either.  I would not generally recommend taking the expense yourself as there are many different companies and agencies that will foot the bill for you to get your designations.  I would just mention that you are interested in doing this designation in an interview so they understand your commitment to further education.
