Anyone taken Topamax?

I started Topamax on Monday to treat my migraines and I have been having joint pains, my wrist, ankles feel weak and my hips hurts? plus my bones kinda ache? and cramps? is this normal, has anyone else had a similar experience? I'd like to hear good and bad expereinces

I was put on Topamax for pain and it was increased as of Tuesday and it has been a life saver.  The downside for me, if you can call it that, is that it knocks me out until my body adjust to it.  (lol - I can live with that - I actually get some sleep - yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!)  Once that happened with the first dose, I can't tell you how great I felt and how much I am looking for to seeing what happens with the new dosage.  I am almost completely pain-free.

topomax is a great medication. i have taken it for about 5 years now i don't take it for migraines though i take it for mental issues. it has kept me from going nuts. i have never had the sympptoms you are descibing. remember though when you start a new medication it takes abouot 6-8 weeks for anything to start happening so it might not be the topomax that is causing these symptoms.
