Anyone try temp work?

Question

I agreed to do full time temp work for a month. The company is very well known and high tech, also the employment agency said they would provide me with a reference and I help me look for a full time job while I am at that company. Did I make a wise decision as a college student? Kinda nervous for the reason I know the nature of the work but I hope I like the company. Its only a month but it could be a month of h**l. Also I will be going to school full time.

Temp work is great because many good companies want to try people out first, before they commit to you and permanently hire you on. Or, they just need you a month, which is also fine because you may have never otherwise had a chance to work for that company in that position, if it wasn't for getting in as a temp. Anyways even you you don't like it, a month of h**l is nothing compared to years of h**l at a c**p job. That month of h**l could help you greatly to build you resume and references to get you something good later on.

Many companies get their new hires by hiring through temporary agencies.  It's a wonderful way for you to try out them, and they you.  Have a little faith - it could be the best month of your life, opening up a career with this company.

I had a couple of temp. jobs that I didn't like much, but not a single one was "h*ll".  Don't worry - it sounds like it will be a good work experience at worst.
