Anything Good About John Robert Powers?

I've heard many bad things about John Robert Powers and I was wondering if anyone knows anything good about them. Has anyone been to their school before?

I have aditioned at there school. When you go in you have to say a short paragraph on like a commercial line.

then they say "Oh yes very nice" and send you to another room to be video taped.

after that they say they are going to call you but they never do, but when you are in the guys office he asks if you are willing to pay about $1000.

It is a total rip off!

Don't waste your money there! total scam.

Nothing at all!  It is a scam that has somehow survived over the years.

Take drama classes at school - high school or college.

If you are in a major market city like Seattle, Portland, or any other big city you will find LEGIT agencies that will NOT TAKE YOUR MONEY and feed you false promises of "stardom".

You want to hook up with an agency that has an agreement with the Screen Actors Guild and or AFTRA.

Many casting directors will run workshops that teach real world skills that help with auditions.

Do not get involved with an agency that makes you take their classes.  They are not legit.
